Enrico Fermi
Born:
29th September, 1901,Rome,Italy Studied:
Mathematical physics and mechanics at the University of Florence
INVENTIONS
1.Nuclear reactor:-
Nuclear reactors are the heart of a nuclear power plant. They contain and control nuclear chain reactions that produce heat through a physical process called fission. That heat is used to make steam that spins a turbine to create electricity.
2.Scram:-
A scram is the sudden shutting down of a nuclear reactor, usually by rapid insertion of control rods, either automatically or manually by the reactor operator. Scrams are also commonly known as a "reactor trip".
Death:
Fermi died of stomach cancer on November 28, 1954, at the age of 53, Chicago
